T.G.I.F.

Is anyone else so glad it is Friday??!! I am going out tomorrow night and it will be the first time I have been to a club/bar type place since I found out I was pregnant!!! And for those of you who don't know, my baby will be a year old in a week so its been a long time!!! I am going to see a band at Headliners. I am also going to see a bunch of people I went to high school with and I am very excited. To add to the fun, I went shopping tonight which I love to do. So my weekend is starting off just right.

Lily's First Christmas

How lucky am I to already have the perfect gift?! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and daughter. Lily had a wonderful first Christmas spending time with her family. On Christmas Eve we went to church and then went to a Christmas get together with Lily's Papa and YaYa. Lily had fun with her uncles and other relatives. She was worn out and in the bed by 8:30. I think maybe she knew Santa was coming. Christmas morning we headed to Lily's Grandma's house for some Christmas breakfast and then opened presents. Lily was definitely more interested in the bows than the actual presents. After all the excitement, Lily took a long nap and then after some lunch we went back home to see what Santa had left for her!! She had a lot of fun playing with all of her toys but the fun didn't end there. Papa and YaYa came over and brought more fun stuff for Lily. After all this excitement, she was ready for another nap. Believe me, I was too. Once we were rested we went to have an early dinner at Papa and YaYa's. Lily was such a good girl all day and I'm so lucky to have her in my life. It was a wonderful day and before we went to bed we took some time to thank God for all of our blessings and to remember the real reason for the season, His gift to us, Our Lord Jesus Christ!!

Who's hooked?

Ok I'm hooked on a TV show I have never watched before. I wasn't really interested in watching any inauguration stuff last night and I was flipping channels and I started watching The Biggest Loser. Now I'm hooked! I cried and laughed and cheered. How could I have never watched this before?! So needless to say I will be glued to the TV on Tuesday nights from now on cheering for each contestants progress. Maybe I could get myself motivated with a trainer like Bob or Jillian!!!

Let It Snow

The first snow of 2009!! Well it certainly was no blizzard. Schools and daycares and offices were closed for no real reason. It was Lily's first snow but we stayed inside. She'll have to be a little older before she can go outside and really enjoy it. It wasn't really enough to play in anyway. I'm so glad I live in South Carolina and we only get a small amount of snow every few years. I wouldn't want to be up north!! BRRR!! One good thing is that I got to stay home from work with my baby. I'm lucky to have a job that I can do some work from home and they are understanding when the daycare is closed. I guess the other good thing about having a snow day today is that people could watch the inauguration proceedings. I haven't had much time to turn the TV on but I'm sure lots of people have been watching. Afterall, it is history in the making today. Everyone stay warm. Gotta get back to work.

New to Blogging

Hi fellow bloggers!! Well, I did it. I have finally started a blog. I have been reluctant to do this because I didn't think my life was interesting enough to create a blog. But I couldn't help but want to share with you my little ray of sunshine-my daughter, Lily. Talk about a life changing event. Having a child has been the most wonderful blessing that has happened in my life. She was born Feb 2, 2007 and it is so hard for me to believe she is almost 1 year old!! People always said that time flew once you had kids but I had no idea until I had mine. She is the sweetest, happiest, most wonderful baby ever! But I'm not at all biased, right? :)
Well, I am trying to get my page set up. I want to get some pictures out there and post some more so stay tuned.........
